Editorial Standards

Empress Flower publishes essays about Ambition, Leadership and Voice in childhood and adult life. These standards explain how we select evidence, distinguish interpretation from fact, and correct or update our work.

Who publishes our work

Articles are published by Empress Flower. We do not attribute professional qualifications, expert review or personal experience unless they genuinely apply and are stated on the page. Articles are written for general information and reflection, not as medical, psychological, educational or legal advice.

How we select evidence

Where evidence is relevant, we prefer original research, systematic reviews and guidance from established academic, public-health or educational institutions. We consider how directly a source supports the point being made, how current it is and whether important limitations or uncertainty should be explained. Sources are linked at the end of the article wherever practical.

Evidence, interpretation and opinion

Empress Flower is not a neutral observer of Ambition, Leadership and Voice. We advocate for children and adults to think independently, pursue meaningful ambitions, speak with courage and resist expectations that diminish them. Our essays may be passionate, persuasive and openly argued. Evidence informs our position, but it does not require us to give equal weight to every opposing view or disguise a clear conviction as detached commentary. We do not use advocacy as permission to exaggerate evidence, invent certainty, omit material limitations or present opinion as established fact.

Corrections

If we find a material factual error, misleading description or broken attribution, we correct it promptly. Material corrections should be noted on the article with the date and a concise explanation. Minor spelling, grammar or formatting changes may be made without a correction note.

Updating articles

Articles may be reviewed when evidence, guidance or relevant circumstances change. When a substantive update is made, the original publication date remains visible.
